Misconceptions and misinformation about the development of young children plague the internet and even the minds of parents. To mitigate the possibility of potential abuse and emotional scarring, advising needs to begin with the education of parents, but also the incorporation of proper schooling. Whether it be informing through extreme scenarios like the Genie Wiley case or more moderate examples of ways to integrate color psychology into the home and school, The Academic Playground is a guidebook on a variety of methodologies to promote positive parenting and brain development.
